TLDR A inquires about seeing external endpoints in service map, such as azure ARM rest API. Srikanth explains only DB and Messaging systems are supported; confirms adding more support is on roadmap.
hey, is it possible to see external endpoints in service map?
Is this a third-party external service endpoint?
Is it some sort of database or messaging system?
in this specific case it is azure ARM rest api
also apis for google cloud etc.
No, that is not currently supported. Only DB and Messaging systems are supported for external endpoints as of now.
is that on the roadmap?
Yes, not the high priority at the moment.
thanks for info
oh btw you mentioned messaging systems, but we can't see our rabbitmq in the service map
postgresql is visible thou
What library do you use, there should be instrumentation support and enabled for it to show up in map
ok I'll pass that to our backend team to check it out
just to clarify, that should be enabled in the services interacting with rabbitmq not in the rabbitmq itself?
ok nvm rabbit is actually visible, developer was too fast to declare otherwise, sorry :slightly_smiling_face:
