Redirecting SigNoz Metrics to Custom Endpoint

TLDR Stuti asked if they could route SigNoz metrics to a custom endpoint. Srikanth clarified that they would need to build a service that understands the OTLP protocol to do so.

Hi Team! I am just getting started with SigNoz. Is it possible to send the metrics from the agent to a custom endpoint?

Please be specific. What is the “agent” you are referring to? What is running on the custom endpoint?

Basically I want to know if I can get the metrics generated by SigNoz redirected to my own http endpoint to store that data.

SigNoz is a sink, not a source. If you want to do your own, you need to build a service that understands the OTLP protocol.
